The French brand WEMOOVE has probably picked the perfect moment to unveil its new VIVALDI Series 4000 outdoor-ready 4K TVs.
If the outdoor TV market was until now a niche reserved for a handful of well-heeled customers, it’s clear that some manufacturers are trying to attract new buyers. This is the case with WEMOOVE, a French brand that has positioned itself as one of the pioneers in this space more than a decade ago.
And to stay competitive against giant players that are moving forward, such as Samsung with its Neo QLED The Terrace, it has just unveiled its new VIVALDI Series 4000. But what are its arguments to persuade the “general public” to give this type of display a chance, even though the price tag may put some people off? Here is a comprehensive look.
Sharpness, Brightness, and Water Resistance: These WEMOOVE Outdoor TVs Do (Almost) Everything
In general, outdoor displays tend to lag behind regular indoor models in terms of visual performance, especially at the same price. The constraints are numerous, and the buying criteria differ markedly from those of classic TVs. First, you need solid waterproofing and resilience to cold, heat, UV radiation, and various weather conditions. Then there’s the need for higher brightness so the image stays legible in direct sunlight, plus secure power and connectivity that naturally push up the price.
That said, WEMOOVE is among the most experienced brands in this segment, and its new VIVALDI Series 4000 is a prime example. Indeed, these TVs are equipped with a 4K QLED+ panel offering a 178° viewing angle, a crucial feature so everyone can clearly see the picture from anywhere around the display.
Moreover, they benefit from IP55-rated waterproofing (dust and water spray resistance) and an ultra-slim chassis for outdoor TVs (9 cm thick) plus the included wall mount. Depending on the model, these panels can reach up to 4,000 cd/m² of brightness and they include an ambient light sensor to dim the screen when the sky darkens (to save a bit of energy).
And finally, it’s worth noting Google TV 3.0 as the user interface, which opens the door to a wide range of streaming apps (Netflix, YouTube, Spotify…), as well as Bluetooth 5.0 and three HDMI 2.0 ports to hook up a dedicated home-theater soundbar, for example. WEMOOVE has also equipped the sets with two 20 W speakers and a built-in subwoofer.
A Fully Sun-Drenched Positioning, but It Shows in the Price
While most outdoor TV manufacturers target shaded or partially sunny areas, WEMOOVE isn’t afraid to face the sun head-on. A notable difference compared with Samsung, its main competitor, which tops out at about 2,000 to 3,000 nits for its The Terrace lineup (without a Direct Sun mode), a factor that even led Tour de France organizers to replace Samsung models with WEMOOVE displays.
That said, this sun-first strength of the VIVALDI 4000 comes at a price: you’re looking at €3,999 for the smallest 43-inch model (The Terrace kicks off at €3,490 for a 55-inch), and €12,999 for the 86-inch variant. For now, only the 55″, 65″ and 75″ diagonals are available in Europe (the 43″ and 86″ will launch in July 2026).
