Silo Season 3: Explosive Trailer Teases the Return of the Post-Apocalyptic Series

Apple TV+ will once again delight us with the return of its science‑fiction series Silo, and the Season 3 trailer promises seriously big things.

Rebecca Ferguson clearly has a taste for science fiction, artificial intelligence, and the nuclear apocalypse. While she was delivering the opening act of A House of Dynamite on Netflix late in 2025, tracing the fallout of an imminent atomic strike, she also portrayed a terrifying AI in Guilty earlier this year and is naturally at the center of the third installment of Denis Villeneuve’s Dune sci‑fi trilogy this December.

And amid all that, she’ll be at the heart of Season 3 of Silo on Apple TV+. The lineup includes the familiar post‑apocalyptic world fans got to know in Season 2, a dash of AI used to tamper with images within the plot, and above all the looming fear of nuclear war. The Season 3 teaser for Silo promised a return to the origins of this sprawling, paranoid dystopia, and the trailer doubles down with some very ambitious promises. Spoiler alert: some spoilers ahead.

New silo is coming

“There’s a new world coming and it’s just around the bend,” you hear in the trailer’s background. And clearly, as Cass Elliot sang, a new world is arriving, and it’s waiting just around the bend… of Season 3. Indeed, this new batch of episodes will once again follow Juliette, back inside silo 18 after her long trek outside (and in the neighboring silo 17) during Season 2. She is “the chosen one,” the providential woman who will expose the truth about the silo… except her memory is failing (thanks to some overly potent little pills).

Who’s behind this manipulation? Clues pile up in the trailer, but more importantly, the past finally unravels. In the trailer’s closing seconds, Silo takes a leap back in time to reveal new faces and the seeds of this underground society. We catch glimpses of Jessica Henwick and Ashley Zukerman (who appeared at the very end of Season 2) who will be confronted by a massive conspiracy, set against the backdrop of a nuclear threat.

And in the end, if the trailer is any guide, this Season 3 will be a genuine two‑timeline sprint against the clock, playing out in front of our eyes. Silo’s ambition (and showrunner Graham Yost) seems to have grown even more, as the promised new world on the horizon could wear two faces: one from the past—shaping the future of the underground bunkers with the silos and prefiguring the apocalypse—and one in the present—where the silo status quo could crumble once the truth becomes widely known.

So there’s no way not to be at least intrigued by the return of Silo, still led by Rebecca Ferguson, but also featuring Common, Harriet Walter, and Colin Hanks (one of the series’ new faces). “The truth lies in the past,” but to uncover it in our present, you’ll have to wait until July 3 on Apple TV+ for the premiere of Season 3 of Silo.
